News > ITMA formalities course in Cambridge delivered with the help of Cam Trade Marks

Each year the Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys (ITMA) organises a course for trade mark administrators who work either in-house in large organisations or in legal firms. The course is popular and, following an examination, provides successful candidates with a much valued certificate. These courses have in the past years been delivered by London-based lecturers.

In 2009, for the first time, the course was also delivered in Cambridge for the benefit of students in the Midlands and East of England who find travel to London for an evening lecture difficult. Dr Roman Cholij was one of the lecturers and he gave talks on trade mark renewals, maintenance, notarisation and legalisation.

Dr Simon Yates, who organised the course at Stratagem IPM, commented that “all of the speakers were excellent but Dr Roman Cholij in particular brought the subject to life, and was spontaneously singled out for praise by the course participants.”

ITMA intends to repeat the course in 2010.

ITMA is the official body of professionally qualified and registered trade mark attorneys numbering around 500 in the UK, and with 1600 members of various categories worldwide.
